Trending hairstyles, innovative techniques and creative top stars on Stage
TOP HAIR – DIE MESSE Düsseldorf will offer a mixture of entertainment and knowledge plus inspiration for creative and forward-looking hairdressers on Saturday and Sunday, 7 and 8 March 2020. For the 16th time now the halls of the Düsseldorf exhibition centre will convert into a larger-than-life hair salon in a class of its own. Featuring a unique combination of shows, workshops, the Cutting Factory, congress and trade fair TOP HAIR Düsseldorf provides a unique platform and brings the hairdressing and stylist community together.
TOP HAIR – DIE MESSE has confirmed its position as the leading trade fair for hairdressers in Europe, yet again by moving to exhibition halls 15, 16 and 17 in 2020. “The change of halls will, of course, not alter the outstanding quality level of the ranges. Every year we go that extra mile to offer our exhibitors and visitors an exciting and creative platform. We are pleased to also be putting together a versatile and content-rich programme together with our partner TOP HAIR International GmbH in 2020,” says Director Hannes Niemann. The leading Düsseldorf trade fair is the meeting point for the whole industry – from newcomers to top-notch protagonists. At the same time, the trade fair has also become established as a No. 1 communications platform because this is where the decision-makers of the key industry players can be met on site. Lavishly designed stands, a high-calibre audience, and interesting roundtable discussions determine the scene in the exhibition halls. Nearly all renowned companies and brands in this industry are represented.
Top Programme from Root to Tip
The trade fair provides input for, and a perfect overview of hairdressers’ demands, professional haircare, hair cosmetics, professional furnishings and services – clearly broken down into order and cash & carry segments. But it is above all the professional and communicative atmosphere as well as the high-quality setting that ensure unrivalled conditions for maintaining contacts and promoting exchange among colleagues. Dr. Rebecca Kandler, Editor-in-Chief and Publishing Director at TOP HAIR International GmbH, is looking forward to the coming event. “We create an exciting event for the entire sector time and again. Raising year on year the number of visitors, exhibitors and brands shows TOP HAIR Düsseldorf offers precisely what hairdressers need in terms of continuous education and inspiration. For the coming TOP HAIR trade fair many talented artists and familiar faces in the hairstyling community have already registered.”
Creative Expert Programme and Multi-Faceted Highlights
Things will again be as colourful, creative and diverse as it gets. The show stage featuring high-calibre acts promises to present one highlight after the other. Here the international elite in this industry will present current trends in high-impact shows and ensure top-class entertainment with spectacular stagings. So far, teams from Schwarzkopf, L'Oréal, Barber Angels, Vitality’s, New Flag, Goldwell, Patrick Cameron and Davines have announced their appearances in Düsseldorf.
The Australian session stylist Kevin Murphy will present the big Saturday night show: BANG BANG! on 7 March 2020 at 8.15 pm bringing international iconic 90s pop culture to life again on the show stage.
Four stages will concurrently host more than 100 workshops on current themes almost non-stop. Here visitors can be inspired by Paul Mitchell, Glynt, Wella, L'Oréal, Redken, Davines, Dyson, Kemon, Hairhaus, Kevin Murphy, New Flag and Tondeo. A total of over 1,000 protagonists will appear on stage to celebrate the hairdressing craft with colleagues and visitors.
At the congress area twelve high-calibre speakers will address interesting themes related to salons. The speakers’ list will again include hairdressing blogger Daniel Golz, whose motivation is in line with his motto: “Only those who change themselves can change something.” Furthermore, renowned speakers such as Regina Först, Wolf Davids, Trudelies Grigoletto and Lars Nicolaisen will address such specific topics as marketing, salon management, leadership and conflict solutions.
Another popular hotspot is the “Cutting Factory” with its activity area for joining in, learning and interactive working. Here all visitors have a chance to experience the art hands-on and to share the ‘Tondeao Schnittgefühl’ with the Düsseldorf local Robin Huth. Additionally top protagonists such as Mike Karg, Daniel Golz, Andis and Tondeo or Dana Wittmann will present the latest techniques and styles.
Top Salon Award
Düsseldorf will also see the coveted TOP SALON AWARD being presented in five categories. Contestants have to prove their skills in the fields of Design (forward-looking interior design), Employer (talent recruitment and training), Concept (innovative business models), Marketing (outstanding marketing) and Best Practice (here success and tradition go hand in hand). In a pre-final an independent jury nominates three salons per category before the (mystery) shoppers/customers decide. The winners are invited to present themselves to the audience formally on the big show stage on Saturday evening, 7 March.
