With their fifth event closing on Monday TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL Trend & Fashion Days Düsseldorf have finally made it as the top hairdressing event in Germany. “This year’s TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL Trend & Fashion Days Düsseldorf has proven that quality prevails on the market,“ said a delighted Helmut Winkler, Director of TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL Trend & Fashion Days Düsseldorf. “Our approach of focusing on a varied, high-quality range with unique combination of trade fair, shows, workshops and congress has been rewarded by exhibitors and visitors alike. And this concept with its consistent focus on quality has made us the top event in German in just four years. Rising significantly once again, visitor numbers also speak for themselves,“ Winkler continued. Over the three days of the fair a total of 25,000 visitors came to TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL Trend & Fashion Days Düsseldorf 2009.
Rolf Wilms, Managing Director of TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL GmbH and editor of the magazine of the same name, was also delighted at the success of the unique event concept: “A hairdressing fair has to follow the needs of the market. It is not sectoral politics or power struggles but proximity to the market and superior expertise that decide competitions. The growth seen over the last five years shows that our approach at TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL Trend & Fashion Days Düsseldorf was the right one. And that we take this motto seriously can be seen in the constant further development of the concept – this year with the extra day under the “Career and Training“ motto. This way we can appeal to the different target groups in the hairdressing trade in a very specific way.“
TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL Trend & Fashion Days Düsseldorf managed once again this year to attract top-class international stylists to Germany. For instance, the fair was opened on the Saturday evening by star Japanese stylist Hiroyuki Obayashi who captivated the audience with his hair creations and original costumes. Trade visitors celebrated this haute coiffure show with standing ovations. In a total of fourteen shows teams from salons such as J7, Unisex, ICD Österreich, Machts Hair Academy, KMS California and Francek demonstrated their take on the current trends and provided creative stimulus. Furthermore, two other international sectoral greats featured on stage in the form of Angelo Seminara and Tim Hartley who delighted the audience with their shows.
Alongside the large show stage TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL Trend & Fashion Days offers its visitors non-stop cutting techniques plus colour and styling trends on four workshop stages. A total of 80 contributions were shown here including those from teams like mod’s hair international, Paul Mitchell, Goldwell Creative Team, Toni & Guy, Keller the school, Pivot Point, Wolfgang Zimmer, Brants Barber and Trio Hair. In a poll 80% of visitors said TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL Trend & Fashion Days was the decisive fair for gathering information on current trends.
Compared to the previous event the number of visitors at the trade fair rose again considerably: 260 exhibitors and brands showcased a comprehensive range of hair cosmetic products, appliances and salon fittings. They said they were very satisfied with the way the event went and especially praised the expert competence and decision-making power of visitors. This year, too, TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL Trend & Fashion Days was attended by numerous salon owners with 74% of visitors using the fair to place orders.
On the third day of the fair under the heading “Career and Training“ numerous salon staff and aspiring hairdressers took the opportunity to attend the range of workshops and congress contributions on the three focuses “Basic“, “Business“ and “Creativity“. The "Photo Shooting live" workshop featuring Tom Kroboth and the hands-on Cutting Factory met with particular enthusiasm.
